This parachute style, with a hackle tied in the horizontal plane round an upright wing post, is the modern and perhaps more stable equivalent of the traditional winged dry fly.
This is a very reliable all-round range of dry flies.

I tie these flies on Kamasan B401 hooks. These are down eye, with a longish straight shank.
