Unless stated otherwise, I tie all Klinkhamer and similar emergers with a pearly rib and a trailing shuck, because I believe that these are triggers to the feeding fish.
If you don't want them please tell me. Of course, you can clip off the shuck.

With regard to the hackle: it must support the fly on the surface and this can be achieved either with a short, dense hackle (often present on imported flies) or a longer and more sparse one. I favour a hackle which is fairly long and not very bushy. It is my opinion that a short, dense hackle does not in any way resemble the legs of an insect and that the long hackle gives better support to the long submerged hook shank.

Existing customers please note that I no longer supply the Partridge 15BN hook.
I now supply all Klinkhamers on the Niche N502 nymph hook to which I add an extra bend - very much in keeping with the original Klinkhamer design. This hook shape is characteristic of the Klinkhamer.

I will supply all these patterns on Kamasan B100 light wire grub hook sizes 12, 14 or 16 if you wish.
Please make this clear when you order, else by default you will receive the N502 hook.

The following patterns are intended for the 'Klink and dink' style of fishing.

These have positive buoyancy, unlike the above patterns which rely on their waterproofed hackle for flotation.
Though they might look like little monsters, they have both caught in their own right.

The size 18 and 20 beadheads, either brass or tungsten, are ideal for suspending under these.
