BEADHEAD WET FLIES

I can offer the following patterns with a range of beadheads:

The default is a BRASS bead.

Alternatively, TUNGSTEN beads are offered in three colours:

  • gold coated (suitable for all conditions)
  • hot orange (the most visible colour in peaty water)
  • black (an effective alternative for clear water)
Please be aware that in the case of painted beads it sometimes occurs in use that areas of the paint break off.

Tungsten beads are approximately twice the weight of the same size brass bead.

The sizes illustrated are:
Size 20 1.5mm bead
Size 18 2mm bead
Size 16 2.5mm bead
Size 14 3mm bead
Larger 3.5mm bead
Please note that these are the LARGEST beads which are reasonable
for the size of hook
If you want a size smaller say 'SMALL BEAD' on your order
This might be preferable particularly for tungsten beads.

The hooks are Kamasan B400 or B401 for sizes 18 and 20 (round bend hooks)

All subject to availability of beads

Snipe and Purple with purple bead

Snipe and Purple Beadhead

Using a lustrous metallic purple tungsten bead,
this is an interesting innovation which has yet to be proved.
Of course, it will fish deeper than a normal spider.

I use a size smaller bead for this pattern.

Tungsten purple:   List code US         16 18        £0.80
